Former Duke point guard Greg Paulus has been hired by Thad Matta at Ohio State as the team's new video coordinator, the school announced Thursday.
Last season, Paulus served as an assistant coach at the Naval Academy.
"We are excited to have Greg join our program," Matta said in a statement. "I have known Greg dating back to when I recruited him out of high school. He brings a wealth of knowledge as a young man who has played basketball at the highest level in addition to his year as a full time Division I coach. He is a rising star in the coaching business."
After he used up his four years of basketball eligibility at Duke, Paulus also enrolled as a graduate student at Syracuse and played quarterback for the Orange for one season.
During his time on the basketball court, Paulus led Duke in assists from 2006-08 and played in four NCAA tournaments. He is one of just four freshman in ACC history to lead the league in assists.
His primary responsibility at Ohio State will be to break down video for scouting and analysis for the two-time defending Big Ten champs.
